Definition

A set of points on a plane whose distance from a single point $O$ is constant is called a circle.

• The point $O$ is called the center of the circle.
• The distance $r$ from the center is called the radius.

Description

It can be considered as a special case of an ellipse. An ellipse where the two foci are the same point becomes a circle.
