The number of oscillations per unit time is called the frequency.

Description

Frequency refers to the same concept as oscillation frequency. Its unit is $\mathrm{Hz}$[Hertz], and it is commonly denoted by $f$, $\nu$, $k$. When saying $k \mathrm{Hz}$ is “1 second with $k번 진동한다는 뜻이다. 주기 $T$는 한 번 진동하는데 걸리는 시간을 의미하므로, 진동수와 역수의 관계이다.

각진동수

단위시간당 회전한 각도를 각진동수라고 하며 흔히 $\omega$로 표기한다. 단위는 $\mathrm{rad}$[라디안]이다. 진동수와는 다음과 같은 관계를 만족한다.

샘플링 주파수

샘플링 주파수란 신호를 측정하는 간격을 의미하며, 관습상 시간이 아닌 주파수로 말한다. 가령 $1$초에 $2,000,000$번 신호를 측정한다면 “샘플링 주파수가 $20\mathrm{MHz}( = 20 \times 10^{6}\mathrm{Hz})”, it means that.
